Registration is the first step. Just click on the “Register” button on top of any page. Second step is to buy the hatke credits which will allow you to start bidding for the products and be fully armed to win big and get brand name merchandise at huge discounts.

You will be asked to enter your email address and choose a user name and password (user names must not contain offensive terms and must be 7 characters in length and include both alpha and numeric characters). We also ask you to choose a security question and answer that question. You will use them to retrieve your password in case you forget yours. You must also check the box indicating that you have read the terms and conditions of the site and certify that you are at least 18 years old.

If you forget your username or password, click on the forgot password link during login and follow the steps. An email will be sent to you with this information.

Unfortunately, your user name cannot be changed. When registering, please be careful not to select a user name that is offensive or abuses the rights of others.

BuyHatke.com limits users to one account each. You must use a valid personal email address to register.

Amount equal to the current bidding amount plus 1 paise will get deducted from your hatke credits each time you place a bid.

Find an item you want and click the "BID Now" button. Once your bid is placed, you are now in the drivers seat and your username will be displayed as the "Top Bidder".

But remember, bid quickly before the timer reaches zero. If the timer expires before another bid is placed, that item will be sold to the "Top Bidder".

The Countdown Sequence

All BuyHatke’s timed auctions run on a "countdown sequence". The countdown timer is displayed below the auction image. Each time a bid is placed, the timer resets to the original auction time and begins counting down towards zero. As the countdown sequence progresses to zero it will display a large 3,2,1 selling, sold. If no additional bids are placed before the item says sold then you may purchase the item.

Note : Inherent latencies in the communication between your computer and our servers exist for many reasons, including the speed of your internet connection. Bid acceptance delays and/or halo-timer inconsistencies, although rare, can occur. Placing a bid with only 1 second remaining on a timer is not recommended, as it may not have time to register before the auction has ended.

Winning

Once you have placed your bid, and your user name is displayed as the "Current Bidder", hang on and watch the countdown. If no one else places a bid before the countdown reaches zero, the auction will say sold. Congratulations!!! The item will now be added to your shopping cart allowing you to checkout. Just follow the link and purchase your item at the winning price.”
You must check out within 7 days of completion of the auction. Any unclaimed item in your cart that has not been paid for within 7 days may be forfeited.
Each user is limited to 2 successful auctions per week.

The costs associated with the auctions

The minimum cost for a bid can be as low as few paise for the initial few bids. The cost for the bid increases as the auction proceeds. When you win an auction, you will pay the “item sold” price listed on the auction in addition to what you have spent on bidding for that item.

Just go to the Buy credits link at the top of the page or in the customer bar in the middle of the page. This will take you to our credit purchase page where you can recharge your account in different packages and be ready to win big at the auctions. Want more free credits? Once you are registered, click the “refer a friend” button to get free credit worth Rs.50 for every friend you refer. Just enter their email address and we will send them a special invitation to join us at BuyHatke.com. If they accept the invitation, register, and purchase any bidbox, we will then credit your account with free credits worth Rs. 50. Remind your friends that they must register using the email–id you provided for then alone you can get the free credits for referral.

You can buy bids using either your credit or debit card. Presently we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

As with purchasing bids, you can purchase auction items using either your credit or debit card. Presently we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Once the auction has ended, you will see your user name as the top bidder. The item with its discount price will be placed in your shopping cart. You can go to your account by clicking on the My Account button and your item will be waiting for you to check out. Just remember to purchase the item within 7 days of the end of the auction. If you dont purchase the item within 7 days, the item may be removed from your cart. Bids placed towards that item are non-refundable.

Most items have a flat rate shipping fee. We use licensed and certified mail carriers within the country. Some premium items can carry extra shipping charges. Check the item description to find out if extra shipping charges apply. Shipping charges will be detailed on checkout.

For the time being we are shipping to addresses within India only.

Delivery time varies differently for different items at auction. Most of our items are shipped directly from our suppliers, with a majority of the orders arriving within 2 weeks of payment. Shipping times may be delayed if a customer has been selected for and/or agreed to the BuyHatke Exchange Program. Remember that your email address must be verified as a part of the registration process in order to be eligible to receive items purchased on BuyHatke.com.

Purchased items are subject to the warranty as provided by the manufacturer. BuyHatke.com does not offer product guarantees.

If you are not satisfied with any auction item you have purchased, you may return it for a full refund within 14 days, unused and in its original package. A full refund is considered to be the price you paid for the item at the end of the auction at check-out, this does NOT include shipping and handling charges. No refund will be given for the cost of any or all bid(s) that may have been used to win the auction.

This may be due to the fact that someone outbid you right after the moment when your bid was placed. Users across the internet will experience the auction based on the speed of their own internet connection. It is possible that bids placed at very close intervals of time may not have had the actual time to be viewed by the user themselves but will in most cases still have been logged by the system. The system will always show the latest bid placed on any item.

Once logged in, you can see your account balance next to your user name in the middle of the grey customer area.

Once logged in, you will see a “My Account” button. Click on the link. From here you can edit your personal information, have a look at your past transactions, check your bid history or change your password.

At any point of time before the auction gets over if you feel that you have put too much money into in and you are not sure if you are going to win this auction, you can use our “buynow” button to buy the product at the MRP of the product. All your credits that you have put on this product while bidding will be refunded to your account.

Every single user on buyhatke is verifiable and every account on BuyHatke.com is only activated after verifying the registered mobile number of the customer. We take full care so that no shills or bots can bid on the product even if we are incurring a loss in that auction.
